Looks fugly, in my opinion. An emote isn't gonna convince me to buy another game. And advertising one game through another is kinda corny, but meh...

I can't believe they made an emote for buying Aion and not GWAMM.

And just what did I do wrong? I've played GW since the beginning. I have 3 accounts. I've always loved GW but with all things it gets old. Aion is wonderful and how do you know there isn't a barrage/conjure flame Maybe I was rather zealous lol but I do think it's great. And I don't see what's wrong with the promotion if someone is getting Aion anyway.
Besides I play more then one online game anyway

It is not just an Aion emote. It is NCSoft using GW to promote another game, in fact a direct competitor of GW2. ANet had to shut up about GW2 because of Aion and NOW finally they can talk about it and don't have to be careful about not "hurting" Aions sells and bam NCSoft tries to get people to quit GW and start Aion.
How many people can play two online games at the same time? If enough people switch to Aion, because if you pay you feel obliged to actually play it to get the moneys worth from it, it might actually kill GW. What are the chances that Aion players will leave to get GW2?

I bought Aion and played the cb too but here is not the place imo to start bragging about how cool is there everything.

An emote for GWAMM or Glad would have been a better thing, and might have breathed new life into things.

Platinum can only be turned into, different weapon/armor skins, or neat little miniatures or tonics to show off. The Aion promotion just skips the step where it exists as some 'currency' and goes straight to something to show off e-peen.

Is asking them "did your mom do a pigeon or something?" a bannable offense? if so, then you're correct.

Grow up and shut up.

Agreed.
Seriously what is everybody so upset about? Nobody said "OMG you can only get the destroyer minipet by buying a PC gamer magizine, way to be a complete sellout A.net."
There is no difference, except price of the product you have to buy and non-tradability (but they did say you could give your access key to people, so I expect people who don't own GW will give these away).
Obviously, they don't expect too many people to buy Aion just for this. This is just a nice little bonus item for those who are loyal to NCSoft products.

Oh, well I wasn't expecting that. I guess it is a nice bonus for people that buy Aion, but I suppose they won't be using it too terribly often since I'd imagine they'd be playing Aion. Although, they do look very cool and look forward to seeing them ingame.

Lol guru, still at it I see...
Anyway, I don't think these wings will have much use in GW1. I mean, all of us will be way too busy playing Aion to run around in Kama flashing our wings at everyone....
Well, maybe I'll do it once or twise for shts&giggles!

well, I've had Aion CE preordered for about three months so it doesn't change anything for me. I'm just getting it to pass time until GW2 for the most part, so really, this is icing on the cake. Remember it's just an emote, not characters flying around. It will be no more intrusive than the disco ball, dancing spirits or transmogrifiers. Besides, some of the Aion wings are pretty freakin' sweet.

I'm also getting the CE and will have one of these codes for wings. However because I'm into Aion enough to buy the CE of course it will mean that I will be spending almost all my time in Aion and will very rarely return to GW. Because of this I'll most likely just give the code to a friend who may actually be in GW to use the emote. Hopefully he'll see the wings and say to himself, "Damn, these are cool. I wish I could be using them to fly around. I should join the rest of the guys in Aion so I can do that."
'tis not really a great bonus for the ones who are already planning on playing Aion.

Well, I hope ANet had some $$$ for insert Aion adv ingame. But I think NCSOFT constrinct them to do this (and Anet will never admit it obviously).
I wil not buy Aion, since i don't buy any P2P MMORPG.
If one of my friends buy Aion CE (not so easy) i'll ask him for the code...but i'll only add the code without using it ^^
